Title: Chief Medical Officer(CMO)/Practicing Physician                          
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer

Position Overview:

Resource Center seeks a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for an exciting new position as we continue growing our new Resource Center Health. The CMO will oversee medical operations and strategy while providing direct patient care. This dual-role position combines executive leadership with clinical practice, with roughly 50% of time spent on CMO duties and 50% in direct patient care.  
 

Key Responsibilities:   

Strategic Leadership:   

  • Develop and implement Resource Center’s strategic initiatives to enhance healthcare within the LGBTQ+ community.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for growth and innovation in healthcare services.   

Clinical Oversight:   

  • Provide medical expertise in the development of programs for the unique health needs of the LGBTQ+ population.
  • Oversee mid-level practitioners and medical staff. 
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive environment, conducting performance evaluations and promoting professional development.   

Direct Patient Care:   

  • Provide direct patient care, including diagnosing illnesses, prescribing treatments, and managing patient health. 
  • ​​​​​​​After-hours call or weekends will NOT be required.
  • Maintain patient documentation.  
  • ​​​​​​​Stay up to date on the latest medical research, treatments, and technologies through ongoing education including company-paid CME.   

Policy and Compliance:   

  • Develop and enforce policies related to medical practice compliance.  
  • ​​​​​​​Assist with managing budgets and resource allocation regarding medical operations.  
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution. 
  • Board certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., Infectious Disease, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine).
  • Unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of Texas.
  • Knowledge of healthcare administration, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
  • Commitment to Resource Center’s mission and values serving the LGBTQ+ community.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and make sound decisions in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • A commitment to helping create a fun and productive working environment.
  • Experience or willingness to learn Clinical leadership.
  • ​​​​​​​Optional experience in a non-profit or community health experience.
